Garden furniture 'not just for grown-ups'
Garden furniture is not just for grown-ups and can be used to make an outdoor space more child-friendly.
One parent writing for Examiner.com stated that youngsters should be enjoying the sun and small garden furniture and items with a fun twist, such as swing seats, can make the space an appealing place for children and encourage them to get out in the fresh air.
This means youngsters have their own space to sit and play under a busy parent's watchful eye.
It was also suggested that helping out in the garden is a great way to keep children occupied in the warmer months, adding that pint-sized garden tools are readily available to help parents encourage small green fingers.
"Gardening with your child is yet another great way to teach them new things and to watch them blossom into beautiful flowers who love being in the garden," it added.
Parents whose children are making the most of the great outdoors this summer are advised to keep their young ones away from the barbecue.
